Museum Synagoge Gröbzig

Exhibition design for the permanent exhibition at Museum Synagoge Gröbzig, developed to communicate Jewish history, traditions, and belief to a broad audience. The exhibition is structured into thematic sections on Jewish faith, complemented by narratives specific to the Gröbzig community. A color system guides visitors through the space: blue marks thematic areas, beige indicates local historical content, orange highlights interactive stations.

Accessibility was central to the design. All furniture is barrier-free, with tactile objects and high-contrast elements for visitors with visual impairments. An educational concept for school groups integrates hands-on stations that encourage playful learning.
Due to the historical nature of the building, the exhibition had to work within small, irregular rooms with varying layouts. Drawer systems, layered information design, and multifunctional furniture made it possible to present complex content without overwhelming the space.
